Parents near Paris walked their children to school Friday despite a continuing search for a tiger reportedly on the loose not far from Disneyland.

Authorities in the French town of Montevrain had ordered people in the vicinity of the theme park to remain indoors after a large prowling animal was spotted near a parking lot Thursday.

A Montevrain spokesman said an examination of a muddy pawprint suggested that the animal, believed to be a tiger, weighs about 70 kilograms and is about one-and-a-half years old.

Montevrain is 40 kilometers from Paris and nine kilometers from Disneyland Paris.

The theme park says it has no tigers and a wild cat animal park 29 kilometers from Montevrain said none of its cats are missing.
