Egypt’s Leaders Hope for High Voter Turnout

Despite apathy in a race where Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi will almost certainly win, turnout was strong on the first day of voting. The polling is happening under heavy guard as police and military stand watch over polling stations.
