VOA China 360: Why US Has Advantage in New Trade Battle with China at WTO

The United States launched a new trade battle with China at the World Trade Organization on July 13. In this fight, the Obama administration is asking the WTO to start a process for resolving a U.S. complaint about duties that China imposes on its exports of raw materials. Those duties raise the cost of the raw materials for U.S. manufacturers. In this podcast, Gary Hufbauer of the Peterson Institute for International Economics tells Michael Lipin why the U.S. has an edge in the trade dispute.
