Rights Groups Hail Court Decision Blocking Closure of Kenya's Refugee Camp
Rights groups have praised Kenya's high court ruling that blocks the closure of the world's largest refugee camp. The government had planned to close the Dadaab complex, which houses more than 300,000 people, most of them Somalis, citing security reasons. But a judge ruled Thursday that the order violated the Kenyan constitution and international treaties that protect refugees from being returned to a conflict zone. Zlatica Hoke has more.
