Science in a Minute 111318 Worlds Earliest Known Animal Found

An Australian National University led study found evidence of the earliest known animal in the geological record. Called the Dickinsonia, the study suggests the creature lived on Earth about 558 million years ago, which was 20 million years before the so-called 'Cambrian explosion' of modern animal life.
