Science in a Minute 022519 Scientists Rediscover Giant Bee Thought Extinct

An international team of scientists and conservationists say they have rediscovered a species of giant bee that hasn’t been seen by the science community since 1981. Some thought it may have gone extinct. Known as Wallace’s Bee, the species has giant mandibles, is the length of a human thumb and has a wingspan of six centimeters.
