Science in a Minute 050619 LIGO and Virgo Observatories Spot More Gravitational Waves
Scientists at the LIGO observatory, here in the USA and its European counterpart, Virgo. have spotted more gravitation waves involving neutron stars. Scientists think one detection of gravitational waves was produced as the result of the collision and merger of two neutron or collapsed stars. Others spotted a day later is thought to have been produced by the collision of a neutron star with a black hole.
