Governments around the world are stepping up efforts to combat the coronavirus that so far has infected at least 90,000 people and killed more than 3,100. In Japan, the prime minister has ordered schools to close until spring break, as South Korea, Italy, Iran and other nations are mobilizing forces and equipment to begin disinfection operations.
