U.S. politicians and people around the world on Thursday are reacting to the impeachment of U.S. President Donald Trump. Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell rebuked the House Thursday for its vote on the articles of impeachment. Senate Democratic minority leader Chuck Schumer responded by calling into question McConnell's plan for holding the Senate trial. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has indicated that she may not send the articles of impeachment immediately to the Senate until more is known about the Senate trial.
