Poll Shows Majority of French Voters Oppose EU Constitution

Another opinion poll indicates French voters would reject a referendum on the European Union's constitution if the vote were held today.

The poll published by Le Figaro newspaper said 52 percent of the respondents would vote "no" on the constitution.

The survey is the second in less than a week that suggested French voters would reject the constitution in the May 29 referendum.

The constitution must be approved by all 25 EU member states to take effect.
