21 Dead, 1 Missing as Chinese Tugboat Sinks

Chinese authorities have confirmed that 21 people were killed and one is still missing after a tugboat undergoing sea tests sank in the Yangtze River Thursday afternoon.

The newly-constructed boat went down in the eastern province of Jiangsu with 25 people onboard.

Officials said Friday that three people were rescued. Among those onboard were several foreigners, including people from Singapore, India and Japan.
