A federal judge on Thursday sentenced Roger Stone, a veteran Republican operative and President Donald Trump's longtime confidant, to more than three years in prison for obstructing a congressional inquiry into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. The Stone sentencing set off speculation of when President Trump might grant Stone a pardon. Trump issued 11 high-profile pardons earlier this week but said he was holding off for now.
