Supermassive black holes are giants with masses that are millions or billions of times that of our Sun. They’re usually found sitting at the center of galaxies. While some scientists have theorized that these monster black holes can travel through space, they haven’t been able to prove it. A new study led by astronomers at the Center for Astrophysics – Harvard and Smithsonian provides evidence of a supermassive black hole in motion in a galaxy 230 million light-years away.
