ON THE LINE: Democracy Analyzed

According to the United Nations, "Democracy is a universal value based on the freely expressed will of people to determine their own political, economic, social and cultural systems and their full participation in all aspects of their lives." Yet, huge parts of the human population live without this universal value. And many who have it complain about being left out of the decision making process. As the United Nations observes September 15th as the “International Day of Democracy”, we talk about the state of democracy in today's world on this week's episode of "On the Line".
