Another Coup in Thailand (VOA On Assignment June 6, 2014)

Thailand’s military staged a coup in late May, detaining hundreds of officials, stifling public dissent and protest, and suspending the country’s constitution. The military says the move was necessary to prevent civil war, but as VOA Bangkok correspondent Steve Herman tells Philip Alexiou, this 12th coup in the country since 1932 is in some ways just … business as usual in Thailand.
