There’s word today that Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir may travel to Malawi Friday to attend the meeting of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA). Rights groups are say if he does, the Malawi government should arrest the Sudanese leader. President Bashir has been indicted by the International Criminal Court on genocide and war crimes charges related to Darfur. Elise Keppler, senior counsel with the International Justice Program at Human Rights Watch spoke with VOA English to Africa Reporter Joe De Capua.
