Darfur - Interview with a Deputy Chairman of the Liberation and Justice Movement

IN SUDAN, REBEL GROUPS IN DARFUR CONTINUE TO FIGHT THE GOVERNMENT. LAST WEEK DARFUR REBEL GROUPS MET IN WAHSINGTON TO TALK ABOUT THE PEACE PROCESS. THE LIBERATION AND JUSTICE MOVENT WAS THE ONLY GROUP TO SIGN THE DOHA AGREEMENT WITH KHARTOUM EARLIER THIS YEAR. A DEPUTY CHAIRMAN IN THE LIBERATION AND JUSTICE MOVEMENT SAYS HIS GROUP IS LEAVING AVENUES OPEN FOR OTHER REBELS GROUPS TO JOIN THE PEACE PROCESS. MOKHTAR ADAM SAYS THE DOHA ACCORD IS BETTER THAN THE 2006 ABUJA AGREEMENT, WHICH WAS SIGNED BY SUDAN, THE S-P-L-M AND THE JUSTICE AND EQUALITY MOVEMENT.
