Manbij Residents Celebrate Liberation, Other Die in Air Raids
Residents of northern Syrian city of Manbij are celebrating their return home after an alliance backed by the United States liberated it from the so-called Islamic State last week. But violence continues in other parts of Syria where the government is fighting to subdue the opposition. The five-year civil war in Syria, complicated by the presence of Islamist militants, has taken a heavy human toll. VOA's Zlatica Hoke reports children have not been spared.
