Matching DNA Crime Evidence Just Got Better

On Jan. 1, 2017, FBI labs across the U.S. began implementing an important improvement in the way they test crime scene DNA. The new method will substantially lower the statistical chance that two unrelated people share the same DNA profile. VOA's George Putic visited the lab involved in development of the new method.
